Carl is a relative "newcomer" to the arts having been a pilot in the military. About 15 years ago, Carl and Jeannette, started a pottery and jewellery making studio.  Their business became too large for their home studio, so they opened an art/bead store with a metal clay online shop.  Metal clay caught their attention in 2000, and they haven't looked back since!  Now the family business is Metal Clay Artist Magazine, and Carl is in charge of our digital initiatives and our worldwide distribution.

"I'm a full time artist that is fascinated with creating ancient feeling work out of modern materials. I love the raw unknown of metal clay as a medium, there's a sense of adventure and discovery that, for me, echos to a time when life itself was a great mystery."
